Garden Bloggers Muse Day - October 2009

"O hushed October morning mild,
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow's wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all.
The crows above the forest call;
Tomorrow they may form and go.
O hushed October morning mild,
Begin the hours of this day slow.
Make the day seem to us less brief.
Hearts not averse to being beguiled,
Beguile us in the way you know.
Release one leaf at break of day;
At noon release another leaf;
One from our trees, one far away."

~ "October' - Robert Frost.

We have recently spent a most relaxing week near Malvern where the leaves were gently falling. A spell of calm settled weather was a bonus as we enjoyed walking, garden visiting and a trip to the Malvern Show where I met up with Patient Gardener. More to follow on all these activities soon. After a brief overnight pit stop at home,I am away again visiting my parents for a few days.

More October muses can be enjoyed at Sweet Home and Garden Chigaco hosted by Caroline Gail.
