In myself I Believe . . .
IN MYSELF I MUST BELIEVE
The road may be long
In myself I must believe
Because my heart is strong
The mountain may be steep
In myself I must believe
Therefore I will not weep
When facing an angry wave
In myself I must believe
Because I’ll always be brave
In spite of life’s complexity
In myself I must believe
Because I will trust serenity
I’ll always do my best to strive
For in myself I’ll always believe
Because my soul is joyful and alive
The road may be long
In myself I must believe
Because my heart is strong
The mountain may be steep
In myself I must believe
Therefore I will not weep
When facing an angry wave
In myself I must believe
Because I’ll always be brave
In spite of life’s complexity
In myself I must believe
Because I will trust serenity
I’ll always do my best to strive
For in myself I’ll always believe
Because my soul is joyful and alive

True beauty . . .
People are like stained-glass windows.
They sparkle and shine when the sun is out
but when the darkness sets in
their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.

Rain, Rain, Rain, come again and again . . .
Rain, Rain, Rain, come again and again,
In the winter, in the summer and in spring,
Come with joy, fall with happiness and go with sorrow,
Rain, Rain, Rain come again and again.
Rain, Rain, Rain come to relive earth's pain,
Rain, Rain, Rain come to make nature happy,
Rain, Rain, Rain come to make livings happy,
Rain, Rain, Rain come again and again.
Rain, Rain, Rain don't go away,
Rain, Rain, Rain i hope you will stay,
Rain, Rain, Rain come again and again.

Zebra . . .
“I asked the Zebra,
are you black with white stripes?
Or white with black stripes?
And the zebra asked me,
Are you good with bad habits?
Or are you bad with good habits?
Are you noisy with quiet times?
Or are you quiet with noisy times?
Are you happy with some sad days?
Or are you sad with some happy days?
Are you neat with some sloppy ways?
Or are you sloppy with some neat ways?
And on and on and on and on and on and on he went.
I’ll never ask a zebra about stripes...again.”
-Shel Silverstein

Home
“A well suited home is a portrait of those who live within. The palette colored by life’s experiences, a graceful segue from solitude to public life. It is a place where one feels effortless alone or in the company of friends. Such a home is our aim. Its creation begins with inquiry into the patterns of daily living, understanding what is nurturing, stimulating, calming-what feels like home. It requires inspection of cherished objects, and introspection into cherished experiences. We observe and absorb what is abundant and appropriate, and attend to what is lacking. We expand upon the authentic and delete the superfluous. Modernist sensibilities form the foundation while antiquities inform and balance, providing a delicate tension and subtle energy. The result is a home that genuinely reflects one’s true nature. A home that feels like a home.” ~ Betsy Brown
