Buenos Aires smelled like leather
Mixed with perfume…and cigars. It was a heady, different smell
A city full of history…yet new. Few buildings over 100 years old
It was so big…we weren’t able to explore each barrio…
But enjoyed walking the alley ways of San Telmo
Where tango was on fire on the streets, and flea markets and antique stores were abundant
We took the subte to Recoleta…a tonier, Parisian like corner of the city…then Palermo
with it’s beautiful green parks and tree lined streets
…And to the cemetery where Eva Peron and many other distiguished Portenos now reside
Beautifully spooky…Where feral cats choose to be the living…
among the dead
And to the botanical garden…alive with color and sculpture
City of angels
Indeed.
~We spent a night dining into the wee hours at a Puerto cerrado a secret closed door restaurant
with 8 others…In the chefs home… a five course meal with wine pairing…great food. wonderful company
I highly recommend it…learn about it here
**And...if Iwere to move to Buenos Aires...Just sayin'
I would certainly entertain buying this lovely home**
